Hey everybody!!

After MANY months and a lot of requests for new pictures, I am FINALLY getting around to an update. It's been to long to fill you in on everything so I'll just get right up to date.

We are all doing great. Colin started kindergarten in August and absolutely loves it. He also joined a soccer team and is getting better with every game. He is still really into video games but is enjoying his time away from them as well.

Cooper, Sam, Ethan, and Addison are almost 2 1/2, which is crazy. They are growing so fast and develop their own personalities more everyday. Sam is still really feisty, Addison is hilarious and always into everything, Cooper is so sweet and lovey but is starting to become more and more onry, and Ethan is scared of EVERYTHING!! Every time he sees anything or anybody he isn't familiar with he covers his ears, shuts his eyes, and cries. Its sad yet so cute.

We recently went to the pumpkin patch and are trying to squeeze as many family outings in before Casey heads back out of town.

I will try to update again soon, until then here are some pictures from the pumpkin patch.

Hey everyone, WE ARE ALIVE!!!!!!!

I am not even going to try and catch you all up on the last 4 months. I cannot believe I have let myself get so behind. Here is a quick update on the family.

There really is nothing to important to report. The babies are almost 21 months, which is UNBELIEVABLE!! I'm already thinking of plans for their second birthday and I feel like I just posted pictures from their first!! At their 18 month checkup they all checked out wonderfully. All are charting well and are ranging from 22 1/2 to 26 pounds. They are trying to talk more and are learning a few signs, gotta love Baby Einstein! Barney is their FAVORITE. I know many people are thinking that is horrible, but Colin loved the teletubbies at this age and I will take Barney over that any day of the week. They have been getting their monthly Synagis shots to help prevent RSV, and knock on wood, they have had an excellently healthy winter!

Colin is also doing great! He is in preschool 2 days a week preparing for the big Kindergarten this Fall. He is addicted to ANYTHING he can play a game on. If allowed he would play the computer every second of every day he is awake. I need some helpful hints on some good inside activities or toys for a 5 year old, any suggestions??

Casey is home at the moment, but that never lasts long :( He was out a few weeks in January shooting a video for their 3rd single, "Let It Go", and had a few Hard Rock shows. He will be on a mini tour with Puddle of Mud, Sick Puppies, and Chevelle before he heads back out with Daughtry and Lifehouse this Spring. He is busy busy but doing great! Not much new with me. I'm still working 30 hours a week at QT. Life is so busy, I never get caught up. I need some MAJOR organizational help with my house, any takers??

So it's been a while, what's new right?

All 5 kiddos have had their checkups this month. The babies had their 15 month in the beginning of September and Colin had his 5 year today. The babies have all caught up developmentally and in some areas have even surpassed some milestones. They are all on the chart for their weight and height, and their head circumference is close to if not off the charts. I'm not sure if that means big brains or just big heads but it sounds fantastic either way!

Colin - 46 pounds and 45 1/4 inches, 75th-90th percentile on both. The Doc gave him a clean bill of health. He passed both his hearing and vision screenings and got 5 shots!! I must say he was a trooper, so I took him out to dinner at Red Robin afterward for some good 1 on 1 time.

Cooper - 22lbs 15oz, 25th % and 30 1/2 inches, 28%. All is well with Coop other than we have to meet with a urologist. Most likely he will need to be re circumcised. I know, it could be worse, but it's still sad:( Cooper loves to sit on a lap and watch PBS shows as long as you let him. He is so sweet and quite a cuddler. He is climbing on the couch now and it kind of drives us crazy but he is getting better about sitting and not constantly trying to take nose dives.

Sam - 22lbs 8oz, 20% and 31 inches, 42%. No news is good news for little Sammy. He sure is one feisty little toy stealer, and he loves to bite, but he is healthy! He can be lovey, but a lot of the time he is throwing a fit or pulling another kid down. He never gives up!

Ethan - 23lbs 12oz, 37% and 31 1/2 inches, 59%. Poor little Ethan. We have learned a few things about him. He will need to see the Urologist as well and he is getting ear tubes next Thursday. The biggest kicker is he has an egg allergy. I still need to make an appointment with the allergist so all I know for now is he can't have the MMR vaccine or flu shot because they both contain egg. Ethan LOVES to give kisses. All day long he wants to sit on my lap and give kisses. He gets very jealous when someone else is getting attention. I hope he will learn at some point that he needs to share the attention.

Addison - 21lbs 12oz, 12% and 29 1/4 inches, 5%. Again, no news is good news! What a funny little girl we have on our hands. She loves to dance and babble. She is talking all day long about who knows what. She loves to be held and is also climbing on the couch. I'm sure many of you figured that due to the fact that she's been climbing for months. The problem with the couch is she is trying to get to the other side which involves flipping and landing on her head. This has only happened once, that I am aware of.

All in all, everything is good here. I'm praying we have a decent winter with the least amount of illnesses as possible. It's hard to believe it's already October!!

My big man lost his FIRST tooth!!!! I think I might be more excited that him, is that weird? Colin normally falls along the line of a scaredy cat but not tonight. I said "Colin, can I pull out your tooth?" he said, "Sure". I thought, really???? So I tried but was to afraid I would hurt him so I let him try. Sure enough he gave it a little twist and out it came!! He was pretty excited so we made our rounds on the telephone. The tooth is now safely placed under his pillow so we shall see what the tooth fairy may bring:)

As you all know I am extremely slow at the whole blogging thing. I always have thoughts in my head of what I want to blog about, and 9 times out of 10, they don't happen. I like to think it's because I have 5 kids, to much laundry or dishes to do, or because my husband is always out of town, but really I think those are all just excuses. I will try to do better, but I'm not making any promises:)

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of going to Dallas, TX. Cavo was playing Cruefest 2 and it just so happen that some of my favorite quad mommas lived there too!! I flew in Friday evening and was picked up from the airport by the lovely Casey Gerwer. Friday was a pretty relaxed evening with a drink and a TON of laughs. Saturday morning I got to meet and play with the Gerwer quads. I fell in love immediately with these 4 awesome and adorable little boys and girls. I also got to meet the Cox quads when they stopped by for a quick visit. We had some time before going to the show so Casey and I got out for a bit to get pedicures and lunch. We were running so late when we got back, so I ran upstairs to jump in the shower and I realized I did not pack the dress I was going to wear. Running around like a crazy woman, I raided Casey's closet and found something that would work, thank the Lord, I was freaking.

Another fabulous quad momma, Misty Urech, was kind enough to pick me up to get me to the venue in time to see Casey(my husband) before they went on. Casey & Robbie Gerwer and Amy-Jo & Brandon Sather met us there. They were only a little late due to an unfortunate stop by the police. Thankfully there were no tickets given and they made it by the second song. It was great to see Casey(hubby) and they put on an excellent show. Afterwards we all hung out behind the Monster energy stage until Cavo had to hit the road again that night. Sunday morning I had an early wake up call to get ready to head back to the airport, but not before I got some more lovin from the kiddos.

Misty picked me up to take me to the airport with her 4 girls. I couldn't go to TX without seeing as many little quaddies as possible. They to were adorable but unfortunately this time around, I only got to talk to them for about 30 minutes. From that point on I just boarded the plane and headed home.

Thank you girls so much for your fantastic hospitality and rides. It was so great to see you and meet your kids, I look forward to doing it again soon.

We took the clan to get their pictures last Thursday, something I dread might I add. It was once again a stressful situation. We did manage to get a few decent shots but I'll be honest, I was hoping for a better session. I guess I should realize that trying to get 5 children, together or apart, is no easy task. I think I will be switching to a home photographer next year.

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY COLIN!!!!!

At 2:00 pm today, my little Colin will be 5. I still can't believe it's been 5 years, where does the time go? He has been through a lot over the past 2 years, to him it's normal, he knows no different. I know it's been a hard adjustment for him, quickly becoming a family of 7, for the most part he has done quite well. We love him more than I can express in this blog, I would not trade a single moment with our loud, crazy, EXTREMELY energetic, and devilishly handsome little boy. He is a pistol!!!!!!

We celebrated his birthday yesterday at Monkey Joe's. He had such a fun time bouncing and sliding with his best buds. It was great to see him having so much fun. The babies also got to play and it was HILARIOUS!! For those of you who know how germaphobic I am, yes there was a whole lot of sanitizing going on. I promise to post more pics soon, but for now here is just a few of the birthday boy.

As I have previously announced, my sister is getting married. We could not be happier for her and Ryan and the wedding is fast approaching. With less than 8 weeks left of preparations, what better way to prepare than with a shower. A couple of weeks ago, together with the bridesmaids, my aunt Mar and my Mother, we had an AWESOME shower. The gifts she opened were incredible. She got so many amazing things from so many amazing women. The entire shower was done in her wedding colors. From the tableware, center pieces and the balloons, to the cake and the favors, even the little prizes were wrapped up in purple and green. I know, purple and green may sound a little bright, but it is actually a deep purple with accents of green and apricot. It is really pretty. I am so excited for the wedding but of course the bachelorette party must come first. Stay tuned for that post to follow soon. Enjoy the pictures!!!! (there is a bunch)

1 Year Checkup

Last Thursday, Colin came down with a fever. I knew it would only be a matter of time before they all started dropping like flies. By Monday Cooper was running a fever and I was up all night Monday into Tuesday with Ethan who was running 102.4, NO FUN, poor babies. Thankfully, we had their 1 year checkup Tuesday. Not to my surprise they both had ear infections, again, in addition to whatever virus they caught from big brother. It is now Saturday and Sam has been running a fever now for 2 days and Ethan and Coop's cough have now turned into croup:( Addie is holding strong as always, but I think it's well on the way. I pray we are almost done with this junk, they are miserable.

The checkup went great. Okay, so not great, they all SCREAMED the entire time. It was clear they were feeling terrible and it doesn't help that it was smack dab in the middle of nap time. My mother and I just kept passing them around and shoveling snacks into their mouths. Other than the CRAZINESS, they are all doing fabulous. No real issues to report. All had their immunizations except Ethan because of his high fever. He will go back for an ear recheck , shots, and be tested for an egg allergy in 2 weeks. He tried eggs last week and his whole face broke out into hives.

Sam is still on the pulmicort for the prevention of wheezing, has 8 teeth, and weighed 21.13

Cooper has 10 teeth, 2 of which are molars that I had no clue were through, and weighed 22.1

Ethan will have to be re circumcised, poor boy, has 8 teeth, and weighed 23.8

Addie has 6 teeth, no issues, and weighed 21.6

1st Birthday Bash, FINALLY!!

So I am clearly extremely behind, but I am FINALLY getting this Birthday post done. The party was fun, hectic, and over waaaaay to fast. We had it at my parents house, mine is barely big enough for the 7 of us. The theme was primary polka dots, I love polka dots and it was very gender neutral.

First, the invitation. I searched FOREVER trying to find a invitation for quads without much luck. I came across this website, Amy's Card Creations, and she was able to make it work.

I found this great website for polka dot birthdays where I ordered a banner. If you are looking for ANYTHING polka dot visit http://www.polkadotbirthday.com/ or http://www.polka-dot-market.com/ Her name is Sally and she has a blog and a store.
As far as the rest of the decorations, I got the table covers from target and my mother in law made the center pieces. I found little tin pails for like $1.00 a piece and she painted them with polka dots, I loved them!!

The cake was awesome!! We had 1 big cake and 4 tiny. One of the baby cakes kind of took a hit from the corner of the box, but it didn't make much difference once you see the end product.

We attempted to get group shots of the 4, but seriously, now that they are mobile it is a joke. We got them each their own embroidered chair. We tried to have them sit in them during presents, that was funny. They just kept tumbling out of them one after another. Casey, Colin and I opened all of the loot and boy are they SPOILED!!!! Everyone was so generous, I am horrible and am yet to send out my thank yous. I am sorry for the delay, stop yelling at me mom, i can hear you.

The cake was an interesting experience. They all reacted pretty differently. Sam was MAD!!! He wanted nothing to do with anything or anyone, not a great nap that day. Ethan and Addie were both pretty quiet, just looking around trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Cooper, oh Cooper. He is an awesome eater. He ate almost half of his cake and LOVED it as you will see below.

At the end of a very long and tiring day, we loaded the burb up and headed home. It was over before I could really enjoy myself, but I guess it wasn't really about me. I am so far behind that I don't know where to start.

On Saturday, May 23rd, Casey played pointfest here in St. Louis. I brought Colin to watch him for the first time. He was sooooo funny singing all of CAVO's songs. He thought daddy was so cool up on that stage and every song he heard he would say, " I know that song mommy" and get so excited and start singing. He did get a little crabby with the heat and lack of afternoon nap, but all in all he was a pretty good boy. Here are a few shots from the event.

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY FABULOUS FOUR!!!!

We made it!!! WOW has it been a fast year. I cannot believe my kiddos are already one. It has been such an amazing 12 months, I don't think I can sum it up into words. These 4 little babies have given us many sleepless nights, days of crying, feelings that we couldn't make it another day and even much frustration. Those feelings are NOTHING in comparison to the love and joy we feel everyday. We live and breathe everyday for our 5 children and I could not imagine a single day without them with us. God had a plan for us and I am thankful everyday for my beautiful family. Thank you Cooper, Sam, Ethan and Addie for an amazing first year, I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Now for the thank you's. THANK YOU to all of the friends and family that have helped me through the breakdowns and the days when I thought I could never make it through this. Thanks to my fellow quad mommas who lend support each and everyday, you know who you are. HUGE thanks to our Moms, Dads, Brothers and Sisters who have helped with the feedings and the babysitting. Thanks to my Mom who stays here all of the weeks Casey is out of town, I could NEVER survive without you. And Sonja, my sister in law/babysitter, your help is priceless!!! Last but not least, Thanks to my wonderful husband, Casey. Thank you for giving me our 5 beautiful children and for being such an AMAZING father. I know I don't say it enough, but you are AWESOME and I love you!!

As far as pictures go, my computer is still broken, so I couldn't post pictures from the year. All I have are the few I have put onto Casey's computer. I still plan on doing a birthday party post at some point so I didn't want to use those. Here is a picture of each child the day after their party and a group shot of them all wanting out of the play yard.

CRAZY Busy!!

Hello all!!! It has been a crazy busy weekend around here and I am WAY behind on everything. I have many things to write about but who knows when I will actually sit down long enough to do it.

As you all know, I went to FL with 13 FABULOUS women whom I love to death! We had a blast getting to know each other face to face. On Saturday Casey played Pointfest and I brought Colin to watch, and on Sunday we had the babies 1st birthday bash. Can you believe they are already 1??????(they will be on Wed.)

I promise to get to it as soon as I can, I am still waiting on some pictures. Until then, have a fabulous week and check back soon!!

"I've Got All My Sistas With Me!"

"What's the first thing you did when you found out you were having 4 babies?"

After the shock wore off, each of us got online and googled "quads." One by one we found each other.. THANK GOD WE DID!!

We quad moms have an incredibly special bond. We have spent countless hours chatting with each other online and on the phone. A day does not go by when our in boxes aren't full of funny, frustrating, tear jerking and loving emails addressed to the group. We have seen each other through our pregnancies, NICU stays, health scares and countless moments of triumph and hours of desperation. We have shared our stories, good and bad. We cheer each other on and pick each other up when the going gets tough. We have found strength in numbers and as a group we can solve any problem.

A few months ago Casey and Jac sent out an email that would forever change us all. They were bound and determined to organize the "first annual quad mom get away!" They were not going to take "no" for an answer and were willing to do whatever they could to help each and everyone of us make it. Yes, they are that sweet and wonderful!

This past weekend our trip became a reality. We quad mommas, from all over the country, flew into Orlando, FL. We spent the weekend effortlessly bonding and enjoying each others company. Seeing our best friends for the first time in person is one of those things that words cannot describe. Each and every women was even better in "real life!" Not every single one of us was able to make the trip, however the turn out was AMAZING! Those of you who missed this year, we can't wait to see your smiling faces next time!

Casey and Jac, THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming up with this idea and for not taking "no" for an answer. It was truly one of the best weekends of our lives and we can't wait for next year!

We knew it wouldn't be long after the crawling, pulling self up to stand, climbing, and all of the other crazy daring stuff she does, but WALKING??? Yep, you read it right, Addison is walking. Tuesday morning my friend Kizzie was here to visit and I was doing the dishes. I hear "Colin look", I turn around and there she goes. Addie walked from the couch to Colin which was about 7 steps. She then continued to take 4 here 6 there and so on and so on..... Her balance keeps getting better by the day. Lord please help me, things are about to get CRAZY around this place!!

This past Friday night 11 of us went to the Cards/Cubs game. It was a great time, and of course they won!! Colin had a blast, it was his first Cardinal game. I have just read Kayleigh's blog and unfortunately something has happened that no one can explain. She has undergone surgery and they thought she was recovering normally until they found she will not wake up. They ran some test and they are saying that part of her brain has no activity. Please read her post to get all of the details as I know nothing about her condition and I don't want to mislead you. She needs all of the prayers and support from everyone right now so she can survive yet another setback. I was enjoying a night of trivia on Saturday with my parents, their friends, my sister, and her future husband when I get a text from Casey. It says "Check your email". I thought, oh he took a sweet picture of the kids before they went to bed and I couldn't wait to see it. It was then that I open this email with the subject line being, OH NO. This is what I discovered.

Now this may be a bit fuzzy as it is from a cell phone, but if you look really close, SHE'S CLIMBING!!!! God help me now. She is not even 11 months old and she is CRAZY!! The crying was because she figured out how to get up, but then couldn't get back down. I couldn't help but laugh. HA HA!!

Okay, so this is just a quick post to let you all know why I have been totally slacking lately. Colin decided that one afternoon while playing Toontown on my computer that he was going to take a nose dive into my computer and totally busted the screen:(. I have been briefly checking mail and bank accounts on Casey's computer but it is doing no justice. I can't access my pictures or even sync up my phone. I never really knew how much I depended on this thing until now. I bawled like a big baby for like an hour after it happened because I just don't know how to function without it, sad I know. Anyway, I now have over 300 pictures on my memory card just waiting to transfer them to a computer, so if you know any way to get a cheap one somewhere, please let me know. I did manage to upload a couple of pictures to Casey's computer from our first walk with the Choo Choo wagon, I LOVE this thing!!!!

A Date With Colin!!

A couple of weeks ago, Casey and I were able to get some much needed 1 on 1 time with Colin. The plan was to take him to his favorite mall to play glow in the dark mini golf, pick out his new Easter basket and take him to a park to play. Unfortunately he was having an off day and refused to listen to anything we said, so after a round of mini golf it was home for a nap. I did manage to get some good shots. Hopefully we have better luck next time!!!

CAVO Single Released!!!

For those of you who do not know, my husband is in the band CAVO and is signed to Warner Brothers. Yesterday was a big day for them here in St. Louis. Their first major label single was released on our local radio station 105.7 the point. It will be released nationally on April 14th and the full length album will be out sometime in June. Things are crazy for them right now as they all have families and will be hitting the road again very soon. Please pray for them. Pray that they are safe while traveling and that it takes off and they get the recognition they have worked so hard for. Their website is temporarily down but should be up in about a week or so. Another Update and a Few Pics!!

Well it's been a while, I know, not a surprise. The Walker's have had quite a week!! Last Saturday morning , Cooper threw up his breakfast. It was not really that unusual until he threw up his lunch. I began to wonder if he could have gotten sick but it made no sense, we don't take the kids out unless they have to go to the Doctor and I didn't think Colin brought anything home because he was fine. Well the rest of the evening was fine and I forgot about it until I went to get little miss Addie up the next morning and she was gagging. I thought, here we go!! Sure enough, she started vomiting and Sam and Ethan started the next day. By Monday all 4 babies were vomiting and had diarrhea. HORRIBLE!!!!!! The worst 10 days, yes 10 days, to date. If that wasn't enough, anyone that came into my house caught it. My mom, dad, mother in law, father in law, sister, 2 brother in laws, and of course Casey and I. The only one who managed to escape it was Colin. I am sure it had nothing to do with his crazy, antibacterial hand sanitizing mother, yes I was and still am a CRAZY germaphobe(sp). So today is day 11 and as of now, it's only 9:30, we are diarrhea free!! I pray this is over and that it doesn't happen again for a very very long time.

Not much else is going on around here, we are looking forward to nice days so we can get these kids out of the house. I did manage to get them out for the first time a couple of weeks ago for some fresh air. Here are a couple shots from that as well as some randoms from the last couple of weeks. 9 Month Checkup!!

The babies hit 9 month's on February 27th. They had their checkup Tuesday morning and all checked out fabulous, in fact they are all caught up developmentally(other than their length). It was just as hectic this time as any other getting them ready, I'm not sure if and when that gets easier. They are all getting so big so fast and can you believe in 3 short months they will be ONE!!!!!

Not much to report on Cooper. He is doing all of the normal stuff, has 6 teeth, and no health issues. He weighed in today at 19lbs 4ozs, 25th percentile.

Sam is Sam!!! My feisty little red head. He has 2 teeth and other than daily Neb treatments to prevent wheezing, he is great. He weighs 19lbs 9ozs, 25th percentile.

Ethan is of course our chunker. He is perfectly healthy and has 5 teeth. Unfortunately he will still most likely have to be recircumcised, that dang fat pouch!! He weighs 21lbs 12oz, 75th percentile.

And then there is Addie. Crazy little Addie is everywhere. If she wants it she gets it. She is crawling and pulling herself up to her feet but has no teeth. She weighs 18lbs 7ozs, 10th percentile. She has come quite far from her 2lbs 14oz birth weight.

Next week we go for their 6 month corrected age eye exam, we are only about a month and a half behind, OOPS!!! Hopefully all checks out and we can sail through this spring with no illnesses. Be back soon......

Happy 8 months to my beautiful babies. Wow has it flown by. Everyone is doing great, other than the winter illnesses. Coop and Ethan each have 2 teeth, still waiting on Sam and Addie's to break through. Each and every one of them have hit there developmental milestone's to date and are, as of this week, sitting. Ethan and Addie can sit independently for minutes at a time and Sam and Coop make it anywhere from a couple of seconds to MAYBE a minute. They get so excited they tip over. Well my trip to New Jersey/New York was a great time. I made it home safe and sound Sunday night around 10:30PM. The house was empty and extremely quiet, it was honestly nice. I was able to settle back in and catch up on some things before all of the kids made it back on Monday.

It was sooooo nice to see Casey. I knew I missed him, but it really hit me when I got there, and it was so sad when I had to leave. I went with the drummer, Chad, and his girlfriend Ashleigh. Chad was able to come home for a couple of days because he was done recording. When we arrived we took a taxi to Penn Station, then 2 trains to New Jersey. I could never do that on a daily basis, it was CRAZY!! I had been there once before but it was 11 years ago so I didn't remember the craziness. We went to the studio where I was able to meet all of the people they had been working with over the past months, and see Casey in action. Everyone was so nice and it was such an interesting experience.

All we did the first couple of days is hang around the studio, visit a local mall, and hang out at the hotel. For some strange reason everything shuts down in New Jersey on Sundays except the movie theatre so we saved Sunday for NYC. We walked around for hours, ate lunch at Hard Rock Cafe, and visited the famous Magnolia Bakery(Katie Holmes gets her cupcakes there). They were OK but nothing to walk hours for. There was a line out of the door. There was a lady letting so many in at one time. You grabbed your box, picked your cupcakes, paid, and then were shoved out the door so the next group could come in. After Magnolia it was time to go so we caught a cab and headed for the airport. Did I mention we flew first class? It was great. Not only did we board first, we got free drinks, A full meal, dessert, nuts, and a large seat with plenty of arm room. It was fabulous!!!

The kids are all home now and feeling a little better. Sam still sounds nasty and him and Ethan are still on meds and breathing treatments, but they are getting better everyday. I hope you all had a safe and germ free weekend, time for bed, goodnight!!

Hello all!! I made it to New Jersey to visit Casey for the weekend. Things are going great here, a nice break from life back home. Unfortunately things are not going as well for the kids and my parents. As most of you know I posted last about how I was coming down with a bug and prayed the kids could stay healthy. I guess my prayers were not strong enough because my Mom and Dad had Sam and Ethan at the Doctor this morning. Both of them have ear infections, possibly double, due to the wax build up in their other ear, he couldn't confirm. Another round of Antibiotics for both of them. Little Sammy is wheezing again so he not only gets breathing treatments every 4 hours but he also gets steroids because this is the second time he has been in wheezing this winter. I think they are wondering if some of it could be asthmatic. Ethan also gets a breathing treatment 3-4 times a day. Addison and Cooper are holding strong with my brother and sister in law, just a couple of runny noses.

I know it is good to get a break every once in a while, and it's wonderful I have such a great and helpful family, but I can't help but feel extremely guilty that I am not home with my sick babies. I know they are in great hands but I miss them and wish I could be there to hold them. Please pray for another speedy recovery, this winter could not be over soon enough. I will post more about my trip later, have a great weekend.

Christmas Eve

Well things have finally settled down here, I thought. We were all feeling better, no ear infections, vomiting, RSV, colds and coughs, or fevers. Yesterday I could feel it starting in my sinuses, this morning in my throat, and now in my chest. I am so incredibly tired of sickness I could scream!!!!!!! I have washed my hands on so many occasions that they are cracked, chapped, and bleeding. Tonight they are covered in aquaphor and covered in latex gloves. I pray that this can be contained, but things aren't looking so swell considering Colin has a runny nose and is sneezing. Pray for some speedy recovery's.

The babies are all doing well. They had their third synegis shot last weekend, even though 3 of them have already had RSV, they continue to get the shots throughout the season. Nursing Specialties is so great that they send a nurse to the house so we don't have to drag the babies out into the cold. They were weighed again and are growing so quickly.

Cooper weighed in at 17lbs 3ozs. He is always so laid back, until he gets hungry or tired and then he lets you know. He has two teeth and tolerates it pretty well, nothing a little Tylenol can't fix every once in a while.

Sam weighed 17lbs 10ozs. Sam is one funny guy who loves to talk to himself and loves to jump. Put him in a jumper and he goes to town. No teeth yet, just tons of drool and biting.

Ethan, aka chunky monkey, was a whopping 20lbs. Ethan got his first tooth Sunday. He isn't horrible but tends to get a bit more fussy than Coop. Ethan also loves to jump, but is pretty much happy all of the time doing anything. My mother swears he says dadada but I am yet to hear it.

Little Addison weighed 16lbs, quite a jump from her 2lbs 14ozs at birth. She is so sweet and happy. She has started to scoot, almost crawl. She wants something she goes for it, no matter how great the distance. Gotta watch that girl. No teeth but also alot of biting.

Colin is Colin. Still crazy, cute, funny, happy, sad, spoiled, etc. That is alot of things I know, but he is a 4 year old boy trying to handle many different changes in his life. 4 new babies, people in and out all of the time, school, and of course daddy being gone most of the time. He actually handles it quite well for the most part.

Casey is well in New Jersey. He will be there until the 1st of Feb. This is the last of the Jersey trips for a while because the album will finally be done. Warner Brothers flew them to LA at the beginning of the month for their first signed band photo shoot. I haven't seen the pictures yet but heard it went well. I get to fly there next weekend to check things out and hang with my hubby for a weekend. It should be a nice, but quick, little getaway.

I still have alot of shots I would like to share from the month of Dec. So when the time is there, they will be here. Time for bed, gotta work tomorrow. Take care, until next time..........................

Our kitchen is so small that we had to get rid of our original table to make room for the QUAD TABLE. The babies love their new table. They sit and watch me play on the computer, watch me make their bottles, they laugh at each other, anything but eat because they are still a bit to wobbly to eat from a spoon without the head support from the bouncy seats. Colin also loves to sit at it and do workbooks, color, and of course eat. So far I have no complaints and think it will be much easier than 4 highchairs, especially when it comes to cleaning. Don't mind the blank stares on their faces, the 3 boys were sick.

RSV, Ear Infections, and Teeth!!!!

I know in my last post I had explained that the kids were sick, boy are they sick. It all began with a simple cold that Colin must have got at school. The babies slowly started to get runny noses 1 at a time. Two Tuesday's ago, at their 6 month checkup, I had the Doc listen to Colin because of his horrendous cough. It was then that he decided he had Pneumonia or bronchitis and prescribed an antibiotic.

Things were going fine until for some reason Colin started acting completely out of control and we thought he had taken something. We didn't know how else to explain his behavior. I decided to take Colin in to the Doctor and brought Sam with me because he had also developed a horrible cough and was wheezing. Before I knew it we were giving breathing treatments and getting chest x-rays. We were told it was Pneumonia and sent home with a nebulizer and antibiotics.

Throughout the weekend Cooper and Ethan started to cough and wheeze so back to the Doctor we went. All three baby boys were examined and swabbed for RSV and no surprise to me it was POSITIVE. Cooper and Ethan also have an ear infection. Just when I thought things were under control, Colin started vomiting. At about 3:00am Friday morning he woke up crying and threw up everywhere. It continued for about 12 hours and he has been OK today.

Addison is the only one who has not been infected but she is well on her way. Yesterday she started coughing pretty bad and has a fresh runny nose. Colin finished his breathing treatments and antibiotics so we now have 3 babies on breathing treatments every 4 hours and antibiotics 2X's a day. When you add in the prevacid for Cooper twice a day and Colin's ear drops, we are a regular drug factory. The babies have been given 2 synegis shots to prevent RSV but it clearly doesn't work. All in all we are doing OK, just crazy busy. I went back to work a couple of weeks ago and Casey is out of town until Christmas, so the family, mainly my mother, have done more than their fair share to help out. To those of you who are trying to prevent RSV I wish you the best of luck, it is no fun but it could definitely be worse.
In other news, Coop's got 2 teeth. His are the first and only to break through. He is doing surprisingly well considering all the crud he has going on.

Thursday was Colin's Christmas show at school and he did great except for the fact that he continued to run to me after each and every song to give me a hug and a kiss. You may think it sounds cute, but when all of the other kids are perfect, it is kind of embarrassing.

Hello Everyone! It has been a while since my last post. We have all been busy with the holiday, Casey going out of town again, I unfortunately went back to work, and of course all of the kids are sick. There is a lot to report so read on if you wish.

For starters, we have started spoon feeding rice cereal to Ethan and Sam. They do pretty well and seem to enjoy it. Cooper and Addison have not seemed to need the additional food quite yet so we are introducing one child at a time.

Colin came down with a cold before Thanksgiving and gave it to all of the babies. They all sound horrible, we were even wondering if a couple of them had croup. As they are getting better, Colin is getting worse. He started running a fever Saturday and has crackles in his chest. We saw the Doctor today and he thinks he has bronchitis or pneumonia. He didn't want to order a chest x-ray because they are both treated with the same antibiotics. Hopefully he gets better and the babies don't get worse. Here is Sam looking his finest......

Happy late Thanksgiving to everyone, we hope you all had a wonderful holiday. All of the kids were to sick to join in the festivities but I still had to dress them in their cute little outfits and take some pics of their first Thanksgiving. Casey and I were able to celebrate with our families but not with each other. I stayed home with the kids while he went to his parents and then he stayed home so I could go to mine. It was actually great to stuff myself this year with one meal instead of holding back for two!!

Casey is in LA until tomorrow night and then back to New Jersey on Thursday. He will be gone until Christmas this time. Colin really misses him and is always asking "When will daddy be home?" We are counting down the days together and with some help from family we are getting through the chaos.

The babies had their 6 month checkup today and are all doing great. I cannot believe they are already 6 months old. They got the normal shots, they don't like those so much, and the routine exam. I am excited that the Doc switched all of them to similac with iron so no more expensive neosure. I use the target brand and it cuts the cost by more than half. They are getting so big, they are all on the charts for height and weight. Ethan leads the pack and is a whopping 18lbs 5oz's, next is Sam with 16lbs 5oz's, Cooper is 16lbs 1oz, and little Addie, 5 times her birth weight, at 14lbs 5oz's. I haven't uploaded the pictures from the Doc yet so I am sure in another month or so I will get them on here.

Halloween - Finally!!!

Better late than never, I guess. This year, like every other year, for Halloween we went to my brother and sister-in-laws house. It was just a bit more chaotic than usual. This was the first one with all 7 kids(our5 and my niece and nephew). Everyone looked so cute but it was a rush to take pictures. All Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and parents trying to find a spot to take a picture at the same time everyone else is taking a picture and of course the kids are never looking at your camera, you know how it goes. I tend to get a little flustered in these situations and get kind of crabby but all in all it was a great night. I had originally just bought sleepers for the babies but then I found some cute little pea pods and thought they were just to perfect. Colin had to be Mario, he is obsessed with the video games. He was so cute and had so much fun.

Walker 5 Update!

Colin had another field trip this week. We went to Daniel's Pumpkin Patch. It was the first time we had ever been there and it was so much fun. I was again responsible for 3 boys and the entire time all I could do was think how and the heck I could keep track of all 5 of my children when I could barely keep track of 3. It is definitely an eye opener! The babies are 5 months old today! I can't believe how incredibly fast the first 5 months have been. They have been so much fun and such great babies. I guess God thought that because he was giving us such a large responsibility, he should make it just a tad bit easier. All 4 have been not only sleeping through the night since 13 weeks, but they sleep for like 10 and 1/2 hours. Sometimes I even have to wake them up at 9AM. They are only eating 4 times a day, so we don't feel like we are feeding all day long. They are getting so big, I think Ethan is up to 17lbs by now, and they have such different personalities. They are all laughing and little Addie rolled over yesterday for the first time. She is the first to roll over and she rolled from back to front.

Long Time No Post...........

So it has been almost a month since my last post and I feel like I have alot to report. We have been pretty busy the last couple of weeks and I have a few minutes to spare so here it goes....

For starters, Colin started soccer in the beginning of September and he loves it. He plays at vetta sports once a week for 8 weeks. It is more of an introductory level so the concentration is more on listening and hand eye coordination than soccer. When he turns 5 is when he actually gets to play a real game. He is such a little soccer stud, check him out...

I went on my first field trip with Colin. My mother went to almost every field trip I had and I loved it. I was so excited to ride the bus and learn their silly songs, we had so much fun. We went apple picking and I was responsible for 3 boys. We all picked our apples and the boys ate them as we walked. Colin kept asking me to make apple pie but lets face it, if it is not cupcakes, cookies, or grilled cheese I don't know how to make it. Here are a few shots of Colin with his friends...

My nephew Cody turned 6 on September 14th and we all got out of the house for a while to help him celebrate. We all had a great time at his party and he got so many great gifts. That same night when we got home, Casey got home from New Jersey. Colin was so excited to see him. His reaction reminded me of how he acted when I finally came home after 10 weeks in the hospital/bed rest at my mom's. He was so cute it brought many tears to my eyes. Little does he know that he is getting ready to leave for another 7-8 weeks. Oh well, we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

I attended my first MOMMES re-sale a couple Fridays ago and it was so nice to see and meet other mothers of multiples. I met Charity Donovan, my mentor, and she was super nice. Her quads had so much formula she gave me 4 CASES!! For those of you who do not know that is 24 cans of formula which saved me about $360.00 Not to shabby if you ask me. I can't wait until I can do more things with the group.

Colin had his 4 year checkup only 2 months late. He weighs in at 40.5 pounds and 43 inches. Everything else is great with him other than, what I hope to be, the normal 4 year old stuff.

The babies had their 4 month checkup as well and we are very pleased with their catch-up growth. They each got 4 shots and a vaccine for Rota Virus. They were so mad and so loud I could not wait to get them out of the office.

-Cooper weighs 13.6 and falls into the 25th percentile. His reflux meds were finally changed to Prevacid because the zantac was just not cutting it.

-Sam also weighs 13.6 and falls into the 25th percentile. The Doc changed his meds just to make life easier, so now they are both on prevacid.

-Ethan weighs 15.12 and is in the 75th percentile. He is our chunky monkey. All of us came down with a cold about a week ago and did not realize he had an ear infection from it, so now he is on antibiotics. The poor thing will most likely have to be re circumcised at one year of age because his was not done properly. OUCH!!! We also get to change his formula to the regular stuff because of his weight. It is so much cheaper then the preemie stuff so that is a big bonus.

-Addison weighs 11.15 and is drug free! She falls into the 10-15th percentile and is growing well. Not much else to report on her, she is doing wonderful.

And finally, The babies were Baptized Sunday and they looked so precious in there little outfits. It was a crazy morning getting in 7 baths, feedings, packing the car, blah blah blah..... but we made it on time and it went off without a hitch. An Overdue Visit....

Since school has been back in session, my niece and nephew have not been able to visit with the babies. We were so excited for Remy and Cody to come visit and they were excited as well. Colin was thrilled to see them when he got home from school. They are so cute and such great kids, they even helped with a feeding before they had to go home. God bless these beautiful children.

So today we went to sears to have the first professional pictures taken of the kiddos. It was CRAZY!! This was the first time I had ever attempted to take all 5 kids out together. Thank God my mother, sister, and friend were all there to help. Colin got his pictures taken while we changed all of the babies then we did the group shots, just the babies, and then individual shots of the babies. By the time we were completely done, picking out the pictures and everything, we had been there for FOUR HOURS!! Colin was crying because he had no nap, the babies were screaming, and Cooper had thrown up all over my friend Carra. I love the pictures, but if I had to do this more than once a year I would go insane. Here are a few shots, I hope you enjoy.

August in Review......

Well not a whole lot to report today. I put a video slide show together to showcase some of the moments in August. The babies are 3 months old now and starting to interact much more. They have all started smiling and are trying to coo. Colin is becoming more interactive, sometimes to interactive, he tends to be a little rough. All in all, a great month! The "Milk Maids" are here. Thanks to Misty Urech, a fellow quad mom who recommended these to me, I can now feed all 4 at one time. I just got these bottle props today and have only used them once, but I think they may be a life saver. I now feel like I can somewhat handle a feeding by myself. My mother has been staying with me around the clock and family and friends have been coming over to help with feedings, but maybe now we can all have a break. All 4 were fed and burped in about 40 minutes and it felt AMAZING!

It's Official, They're Engaged!!!!!

My sister Jenny and her boyfriend Ryan have been dating for about 41/2 years. They finally decided to get married. They picked a date, venue, band, photographer, florist, etc..... all that was missing was the ring. There was no way to really surprise her since she already new it was coming, so we had to go about it like it was a normal day. My mother and I were responsible for setting the scene and my aunt came along for the fun of it. It was a normal Thursday night and they decided to go to dinner, nothing unusual about that, and while they were gone, we secretly went into the house and set the mood. Flowers, candles, balloons, rose pedals, chocolate, and of course the 1 1/2 carat rock to put on her finger. It was so fun and exciting and I don't think I had been that nervous in a very long time. Everything went perfect and of course she said yes!

I am a little behind on this post, I feel like I've had a busy week. Colin had his first day in the yellow room this past Monday. I can't believe he can start kindergarten next year. He was very upset that he had to leave the 3 year old room where his best friends, Caleb and Kennedy, had to stay behind. When I picked him up he was very excited and said he loved playing in his new room. I am thrilled that the transition was so smooth. Here are a few Pictures of my not so little boy.......

So Casey leaves tomorrow. His band will be traveling to New Jersey for about a month to record a new album. As fabulous and as exciting as this is, I am pretty nervous. I have the pleasure of staying home with all 5 kids. If any other quad mom has any suggestions on how to make this possible please let me know. I am trying to figure out how to take my son to school, feed the babies, and still find time to do dishes and laundry. Thanks to family and friends, mainly my mother who spends every night with me, I feel like it is sort of doable. The guys are really excited and have been writing in the studio all week. 2 Months Old

The kiddos had their 2 month checkup a couple of weeks ago and all is fabulous. Other than Cooper and Sam having a bit of reflux, they are all growing appropriately. As far as percentages, their heads have made it on the charts, big brains of course, and only chunky Ethan's weight is in the 5th percentile. They are growing like weeds...

Back to the Begining

For those of you who don't know, On May 27th 2008, Casey and I brought 4 new bundles of joy into our lives. Our family of 3 very quickly turned to 7. The pregnancy was some what difficult, as any pregnancy would be with multiples, but the delivery was flawless. St. Mary's was awesome. The entire staff of doctors and nurses were incredible, you kind of have to be to put up with me for that long. I was 33 weeks and 1 day gestation and had all I could handle. So after 10 weeks of bed rest and a lot of medications we welcomed the tiny clan.
